On the morning of September 26, 2018, Dr. Kumara Jayasuriya, Vice President and Dean of Academy of West Virginia State University, and Professor Wang Lan, Director of the Office of International Affairs, came to our university for a visit and exchange. President Du Caiqin and Vice-Principal Ke Shaoying participated in the meetings, exchanges and discussions. 

The symposium was held in the conference room on the fifth floor. Prof. Du Caiqin, the president of our school, gave a welcome speech. She also introduced the teaching, scientific research, teaching staff and educational programs of our school to Vice-president Kumara Jayasuriya and Professor Wang Lan. Vice President Kumara Jayasuriya introduced the characteristics of West Virginia State University, its advantageous disciplines, and its scientific research. The Symposium broadcasted video briefings of the two universities. The two sides had friendly discussions on teaching, scientific research, and student exchanges and visits. At the meeting, the two presidents exchanged school flags and reached friendly intentions on the next step of exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.

After the symposium, Dr. Kumara Jayasuriya, and Professor Wang Lan visited the History Museum of Tangshan Normal University and Jidong Calligraphy and Painting Art Museum.
